Bay Area Parent Leadership Action Network (PLAN) is a social justice organization that develops the leadership and builds the power of parents to transform schools so that all children achieve student success. We believe that students succeed when parents feel heard, respected and lead educational change.
communications workshopsIn 2018 and 2019, the Yates Creative team conducted three workshops with Bay Area PLAN staff and parent volunteers. We guided attendees in developing their personal stories, highlighting their passions and why they are committed to organizing on behalf of Black and Brown students in the Bay. Attendees left with tangible narratives that they could use to advocate for youth and organize community members.
